Lisa discovered her zeal for teaching as a young girl when her little sister was about
to head off to kindergarten. She enthusiastically held class in her back yard for her
sister and neighborhood friends creating assignments and tests. Teaching has
always been an integral part of her life.
Lisa has had the privilege of teaching on both coasts and in various settings. She has
experience teaching in single and multi-grade classrooms, pre-kindergarten,
continuing education for early childhood educators, tutoring elementary school
students, homeschooling, and as a private satellite school administrator.
Lisa’s main objective is to instill in her students a love for seeing God in every lesson
and project, cultivating a personal relationship with Christ, and actively serving
family and community everyday. Encouraging each student to pursue challenging
subjects with excitement and perseverance is her passion!
She and her husband, Paul, have four children. Some of her interests include
American Sign Language, reading, trail running, family road trips, Christian and
classical music, and Bible study.
Lisa graduated from California State University Fullerton with a B.S. in Child
Development, earned her K-6 Elementary Teaching License from the University of
North Carolina at Wilmington, and has received multiple certificates in Early
