Home and School
Active and Involved
We are very proud of the fact that parents, church members, and faculty work together to serve our families in a Christ-centered community. We have an excellent rate of parent involvement in the Riverside Home & School organization. They can always be seen on field trips, volunteering in the classrooms, organizing fundraisers, helping with our many community events, as well as supporting their own students with continued learning at home.
This year our Home & School leader is Krista Scott. Other members are: Doni Fernandez, Jessica Mathews, Carmie Martinez, Tammy Frace, Kimmy Noel, Julie Natiuk, Kristina Richards, Tymi Wright, Lindsey Coyle, Laura McCoy, and Lindsey Gellenbeck.
Last year, as part of Riverside’s Community Outreach Program, RCS students and Home and School participated in Meals of Hope. This is a year-round, FREE, all-you-can-eat dinner serving up to 150 people each week. The program was established and is managed by Paul Ybarra and his Riverside SDA Church team. During the meal we sang to guests and helped to serve them beverages. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship and Christian service for others.
Our annual Apple Festival, Spring Auction Fiesta, Christmas Caroling, and movie nights are just a few of the events that involve school families and community on our campus and beyond, bringing us together for celebration, fundraising and service.
